PSippr
A safety-first peer-to-peer platform for adults, communities and businesses nearby.
PSippr combines nearby discovery, direct communication, community interaction and business profiles while keeping privacy and safety central to the product design. Your profile, photos and messages live on your phone and travel between devices encrypted end to end — there is no account, no e-mail and no phone number; your profile is your identity.
PSippr supports different user contexts — personal, adult-only, business and community — through separate visibility rules and user-controlled communication. It is not limited to one use case: people, businesses, doctors, lawyers, cinemas, food, rides and emergency help sit side by side in one privacy-focused platform.

Safety first
Different situations need different protections. PSippr is built around choices the user controls and tools that work without a central server:
- Adults only (18+) — the app asks for a date of birth on first start and blocks anyone under 18 (see below).
- You decide who reaches you — calls always need a mutual heart, and you can require mutual hearts for chat too.
- Block with a reason — harassing, spam or fake profile. Blocks also feed community spam reports.
- Community anti-spam — reports are decided by moderators; a honeypot catches fresh accounts mass-messaging the same text. An account on the spam list only sees verified users and cannot be contacted.
- Adult content stays separated — on-device detection keeps nudity off the public wall and group images; adult albums stay blurred until you grant access.
- Report incident — a button in the app sends a description and a screenshot to the operator.
- Verified businesses — your device checks a business against the company register (CZ, SK); an unverified one is clearly marked.
Safety features reduce risk but cannot eliminate all online risks. Users should report suspicious behaviour and follow the safety rules.
Not for minors
PSippr is for adults only (18+). On first start the app asks for a date of birth and blocks anyone under 18; the date stays on the device. This is a self-declaration, not an identity check. Minors must not use PSippr. See the child safety policy.
A separate social site for children, childs.psippr.cz, is in preparation. It is not part of the PSippr app and will have its own rules.
For adults
- Age-restricted social features in a separated adult experience: the app as a whole is 18+.
- Consent first — interest is shown with hearts and becomes mutual only when it goes both ways; calls need a mutual heart.
- Preferences stay private — sexual preferences and what you are looking for are shown only to people whose orientation matches, and you can hide them completely.
- Adult albums are locked and blurred until you grant access to a specific person.
- No illegal services — prostitution, escort, exploitation and any other unlawful activity are forbidden (acceptable use).
For businesses
- Business profiles for venues, restaurants, doctors, lawyers and shops — photos, address with navigation, opening hours, products with prices (business profile is an optional paid feature).
- Local visibility in the Nearby grid and categories.
- Direct customer communication — chat, orders and receipts go straight between the customer and the business.
- Business responsibility — every business is responsible for its own goods, services, prices and payments.
Privacy
- Peer-to-peer architecture — devices talk to each other directly; your profile, photos and messages are not stored on any server.
- User-controlled identity — your identity is a key on your device, not an account on a server.
- Minimal centralisation — the service does not maintain a central social graph or a database of users.
- Transparent metadata — when two devices cannot connect directly, a relay forwards end-to-end encrypted packets; the relay and the entry-point infrastructure process network metadata (IP addresses, device identifiers, timing and volume) where technically required, never the content. The privacy policy lists every service involved.
- Privacy features do not remove a user's legal responsibilities.
Payments
PSippr is software. It is not a bank or a payment institution; card payments are processed by Stripe.

Try it
The app is currently in a testing (RC) phase, not yet in any app store — a proper Google Play and App Store release will follow once every part of the app has been fully tested, planned within weeks (a month at most). A public audit of every part and component of the app is also being prepared before that store release. The app runs on all of these platforms — tap one and ask for a test build:
Download
- Android — Download PSippr.apk
- iPhone / iPad — Join the TestFlight beta (install the free TestFlight app from the App Store first)
- Linux — PSippr.deb · PSippr.rpm · PSippr.AppImage
- Windows — Download PSippr.exe
- Command line — PSippr-cli.zip: a headless node for a server or a Raspberry Pi (Linux, macOS, Windows, needs Java 17).
psippr serveruns the node, psippr wall, psippr usersandpsippr messagestalk to it from the terminal.
Every release lands here automatically. macOS is available on request — tap a platform above and ask for a build.

What it does
- Nearby — a grid of people around you, closest first, with live online status, star ratings, verified badges and a NEW tag for fresh profiles. Distance comes from a coarse geohash, never from exact coordinates.
- Profiles — a self-playing gallery of photos and short videos, a "now playing" music bubble with album art and your own private note on every person. The approximate map position and the taxi ride to a match are part of the bonus pack.
- Hearts — a mutual-interest handshake: an outline heart becomes solid only when the interest goes both ways. You can require mutual hearts for chat; calls always need them.
- Chat — end-to-end encrypted messages, photos, videos, GIFs, voice notes and albums, with threaded replies, reactions and delivery ticks. A phone number in a message gets instant call / save-contact actions.
- Calls — one-to-one and group video calls, encrypted end to end. The connection is negotiated with a Google STUN server and runs directly between the phones whenever the networks allow it; otherwise the encrypted stream is forwarded by a relay.
- Albums — photo and video albums you share with whom you choose, including locked adult albums that stay blurred until you grant access.
- Wall — a 24-hour timeline of posts from people around you, with link previews, likes and reactions, spreading from device to device.
- Private timeline — posts only for followers you approve yourself; they never spread around, every follower fetches them directly from you and gets notified about each new one.
- Video chats — see who is live in a group video chat right now and start your own with one tap.
- Places — points of interest around you and who is currently there.
- Groups — small contact groups with invites.
- Businesses, restaurants, doctors and lawyers — venues around you with their own profile: photos, address with navigation, opening hours, products with prices. Your device verifies the business against the company register by its ID (CZ, SK); an unverified business is clearly marked in the app. Doctors, lawyers and hospitals get their own category in the Nearby grid.
- Guides — hotels, restaurants, parties and private venues nearby by category, from a web search scoped to your city.
- Jobs — job offers and service requests nearby, with your own listing and an expiry date.
- Movies — shared movie and show links on the wall, with search.
- Emergency help and Lost & found — a public board of listings with text and a photo, tap to open the poster's profile.
- Resource usage — a live chart of CPU, memory and daily data/battery use right inside the app.
- Pick your own tabs — show only the tabs you use; turn the rest on in Settings whenever you want.
- Cart and orders — a separate cart for every business, kept on your device. A binding order goes to the business as a message, the business replies with a receipt and a payment link (Revolut), and once paid the order is flagged as Paid. The Orders tab lists them — new, done, cancelled.
- Ride sharing — ride requests around you and driver offers, paid via Revolut or Stripe.
- Share like a messenger — your chats show up directly in the system share sheet, and saved contacts get Message / Video call actions right in your address book.
- Multi-device — clone or move your profile between phone, tablet and desktop; devices keep each other in sync in the background.
- Star rating — five stars computed from the likes people give you, with a loyalty bonus for coming back daily.
- Anti-spam — community reports, moderator verdicts and a honeypot that catches fresh accounts mass-messaging the same text. Offenders end up seeing and talking only to moderators.
- Backup — your whole world in a single file that only you hold; restore it on any device (moderator feature; everyone can clone or move a profile between devices).

How it works without a cloud
Ordinary apps keep your photos, messages and location on their servers. PSippr is designed to minimise centralised data collection, so:
- there is no central database of profiles, photos or messages that could leak, be sold or be handed over,
- messages are encrypted end to end — a relay that forwards them sees only encrypted packets,
- the app keeps working on a local network even with the internet down,
- shutting the project down cannot take your data with it — it is already yours, on your device.
Peers find each other over the local network, over a public peer-to-peer network (a gossip room for your coarse area, with address records and a small table of entry points on psippr.cz, run by the author inside the EU). The only thing published about you is a small signed announcement — nickname, coarse area, online status, age, height, weight, preferences, what you are looking for and what you are listening to — the same things other users see on your card in the app. The privacy policy lists every field and every service involved.
Security
- Every announcement is cryptographically signed, so nobody can pretend to be you.
- The 18+ check is local — your date of birth never leaves the device.
- Adult-content detection runs on the device; photos are never uploaded for moderation.
- Screenshots are blocked inside the app on Android.
- Optional biometric lock protects the app with your fingerprint or face.
- Backup and restore produce a single zip file that only you hold.
Platforms
Android, desktop (Linux, Windows) and a command-line node without a screen. The iOS build is in preparation. The app updates itself — when a new version is out, it offers the update on the spot.
